Churchill's Lane Cabinets
The mahogany rail capping and simple painted balusters over a nosed mahogany cap add a nautical reference to the staircase ascending to the upper floor from the open area below. The slope of the stairway is echoed on either side with special purpose cabinets built to match the angle of the wall. The side facing the active family area houses two computer work stations, with file and storage drawers below and open shelving above. The side nearer the living and dining rooms is a more formal serving station, with a bar sink and drawers below for table linens and silver, and closed cabinets above for glasses and decanters.
